He happily shares it with a range of animals and birds who also claim it is theirs. There are wallabies, bandicoots, bush rats, dunnarts and native mice, and a large goanna which climbs trees stealthily to search for birds’ eggs. The horse enjoys these nights, especially when the moon shines brightly and the world is turned to silver.”
